Writing the Perfect Mission Statement

A perfect model is the perfect country-western song. After listening to "Do not call me dear, dear," said David Allen Coe said that it was almost perfect country-western song, but it was not the mother, the jail, trucks, rain or drink. You may remember, has added another verse, which then included all the missing parts, making it the perfect song.

The perfect country-western song contains all the topics that the genre. A perfect missionExplanation will do the same. The perfect model is different, say what we do, why we do what we do when we do, that we do and how we do.

Models provide a framework of principles that the organization in order to make decisions about new programs and evaluate existing, as well as useful in positioning the organization to provide to the public. Such statements of intent that the statutes governing the organization. Programs,actions, policies and communication must not violate the mission. Should a decision be made that is outside of the mission, the mission must be revised.

Do mission statements really make a material difference to success? Consider these:

Hershey Foods: "Our mission is to be a focused food company in North America and selected international markets and a leader in every aspect of our business. Our goal is to enhance our #1 position in the North American confectionery market, be the leader in U.S. chocolate-related grocery products, and to build leadership positions in selected international markets." Hershey's profits were up 54% in fourth quarter 2008.

McDonald's: "McDonald's vision is to be the world's best quick service restaurant experience. Being the best means providing outstanding quality, service, cleanliness, and value, so that we make every customer in every restaurant smile." McDonald's profits were up 82% in fourth quarter 2008.

Ford: "We are a global, diverse family with a proud heritage, passionately committed to providing outstanding products and services." Ford, as we know, has experienced huge profitability issues. Contrast their current statement with their 1900-era mission statement, "Our mission is to democratize the automobile."

It's easy to see how important it is to be specific in your definitions. If the McDonald's or Hershey mission statements appeared without the corporate name, you might correctly guess their identity. Ford's mission statement doesn't even mention automobiles. Have you written the perfect mission statement? If yours doesn't presently include the content required, you have a great opportunity to refine your statement and enhance the success of your organization.

Mission Hills Golf Club & The World Cup of Golf in Shenzhen, China

At 216 holes, the Mission Hills Golf Club, outside the city of Shenzhen, China, is rated by the Guinness Book of Records as the world's largest golf club. The game of golf in China is gaining popularity in leaps and bounds, and like anything else, when the Chinese take a liking to something they quickly make it their own, so don't be surprised to find Chinese professional golfers ranking among the best in World Cup of Golf events in years to come. And don't be surprised if soon China has as many golfers and golf courses as any country in the world, because Mission Hills Golf Club is just the beginning.

Make Life a Mission

My Father once said something to me that has stayed with me ever since he said it. He said, "Son, there are two kinds of people in this world. There are those who let life happen to them, and there are those who make life happen. What kind of person do you want to be?" Of course my answer was that I want to be the kind who makes life happen! I've always been that kind of person. However, even with that kind of attitude going for you, you will still need a clear plan in order to achieve all of your goals in life.

I have found that success is really finding that place in life where you feel complete. Where your worries are handled and you feel safe, relaxed and content for the most part with where you are and where you are going. Now I did not say that you were stagnant and no longer growing. I meant that you are happy with your life, and guiding it in the direction that you want to be going.

Many of us have a feeling of incompletion in our lives or a feeling like we are missing something. How did we get here? What causes us to continue down paths in our lives that prevent us from achieving a high level of bliss and happiness? There are several things that can factor into this, such as making life choices to please parents, loved ones, lovers or others out of guilt. What happens to us when our whole life has been spent pursuing other peoples dreams but not our own? Are we left with a sense of not knowing what to do next? How does this make us feel?

I have said it time and time again to my students. If you want to change anything in your life you have to start with yourself. Stop worrying about what is going on with other people and start focusing on yourself, and what makes you happy. This does not mean that you stop caring about other people. It means that if you want to be happy, then you must begin to make changes within yourself. The only person's life that you can effect change in is your own. You cannot control other people, or make choices for them. You cannot make them happy, and you cannot expect them to make you happy. Happiness is a choice that you must make for yourself. The next step is to discover who you are and where you want to be in your life. This can be a time consuming process of self analysis, critical thinking and being truly honest with yourself. This can be very difficult, because you must spend time clearing out what everybody else has told you about yourself, and truly examine yourself with your heart. I think that this is the hardest thing I have ever done is to make this journey of self discovery. This self analysis helped me to discover who I really am, and what makes me feel happy and fulfilled. This self examination is a constant mission, because the road ahead will hold many surprises that will help shape who you are as an individual. Regular self analysis of where you are at any given moment will help you to stay on target or adjust your course slightly if needed. If you have taken the initial time of self discovery then you will have a clear picture of what you truly want in life so slight adjustments will only enhance what you are doing, and will not take you off track overall.

The most important thing is to remain positive and not let the small set backs get you down. We must look at the past as a learning experience and not let it keep us from going forward in life. All of my seminars are geared towards helping people find happiness in life. I think that if more people found happiness, then we would have less problems in the world. This should our mission in life, to find our own happiness.

I have noticed that the success really find that place in life where you are complete. Where you are dealt your worries and you feel safe, relaxed and content largely with where you are and wherever you go. Now I knew not to say that you have been stagnant and no longer growing. I thought that you are happy with your life, and guide them in the direction that you go to.

Many of us have a sense of incompleteness in our lives or aFeel like we are missing something. How are we here? What makes us further down the path into our lives that prevent us from achieving a high degree of good fortune and happiness? There are several things that can factor in that, like the life choices that parents please, dear ones, friends or other debt. What happens to us when our lives spent pursuing other peoples dreams, but not our own? Are we left to do with a feeling of not knowing what next? How it workswe feel?

I did it again and again to my students. If you have something in your life you have to change start with yourself. No worry about what other people and start focusing on themselves, and what makes you happy. This does not mean that you stop the worry about other people. This means that if you want to be happy, then you can begin to change in themselves. The only person's life, that it is effective in changing your own. You can notControl of other people or for them to make decisions. You can not make happy, and you can not expect them to make you happy. Happiness is a choice you must make for themselves. The next step is to find out who you are and where you want in your life will be. This can be a time consuming process of self-analysis, critical thinking and being really honest with yourself. This can be very difficult because you have to spend time clearing what everybody else you say about yourself, and reallycheck with your heart. I think that this is the hardest thing I've ever done, to make this journey of self discovery. This self-analysis helped me to find out who I really am, and what makes me happy and fulfilled. This self examination is an ongoing task, because the road before us many surprises that will help hold the shape as an individual. Regular self-analysis, where you are at any given time will help you to remain on course, or your courseeasily if necessary. When the first time of the discovery itself then you will have a clear picture of what you really want to have in life, will improve only minor adjustments to be made what to do and you will not be off balance as a whole.

The most important thing is to stay positive and not let little setbacks get you down. We need to look back the past as a learning experience and do not let us go forward in life.
